The author of this Samhita is the Vedic Saint Bhrigu Rishi, who is also recognized by that name in Hindu mythology. The Samhita is made up of numerous independent sections. It is named after the Bhrigu Rishi. Since it is an assemblage of multiple astrological units, it is sometimes called a Samhita. Saint Bhrigu was the one who first assembled the fifth Veda of the Treta Yuga, which contained prophetic astrology. Even in the west, the older four Vedas—written by Lord Brahma—are acknowledged for their significance today.The Bhrigu Samhita is a prehistoric text on predictive astrology that comes from the beginnings of Hindu culture. This Samhita is considered to be among the most valuable ancient sources.
