As fascinating as it gets, Hindu mythology is full of rich stories, and the story of how bhrigu-samhita came into existence is quite mystical. It is believed that bhrigu samhita has the mentioned names and the future of all people who have and will ever live in this universe. Maharishi Bhrigu is considered to be the creator of bhrigu-samhita. After the creation of humanity, Maharishi Bhrigu and the other gods were deeply troubled by the terrible sorrow and suffering that humans had to undergo during their time on Earth. The sage, in particular, felt a wave of intense compassion for all beings. As a result, he was tasked with selecting a leader for the Universe who would safeguard and nurture life on Earth. The sage had to choose one of the trinity of Gods (Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesha) to lead the universe. Sage Bhrigu eventually chose Lord Vishnu and made him the ruler of the entire universe.
